Photos from week 1 and 2 of 2018
It has been a while since I shared my weekly photos but its time to start sharing again. In this post, we have photos from week 1 and 2 of 2018.
Photos from week 1.
In podcast episode 150 I spoke of the pruning I needed to do to the rosemary bush that was taking over my path.
As you can see it needed a good hack. Armed with secateurs I cut off lots branches.
The rosemary prunings will not be wasted. We will find a use for them somewhere.
As you can see it has now cleared my path making it an easier walk down the garden.
I also pruned my blueberry bushes as they have not been pruned for quite a while now. As you can see I have quite a collection of blueberry bushes. Let's hope that pruning them produces better crops.
Photos from week 2.
Week 2 now and work down the allotment is underway. This picture shows the cleared Jerusalem artichoke bed.
The big job I attempted was clearing the old raspberry bed. In this photo, you can see how the couch grass has grown around the raspberry. Keeping this bed clean has been challenging. So it was time to clear it.
After a few hours work lots of splinters and swearing I got it to this point.
Unfortunately, by this point, it was getting dark and had to pack up. However, I do feel this is a huge difference and making a very good start.
That's all for this week. Don't forget to keep coming back for more updates.
