Hi Richard. Quick query on this months Watercress seeds. Are you saying keep them in pots and place in a deep dish so that one can then water the dish thus the roots growing through the bottom of the pots are permanently in water?
A washing-up bowl may then be the answer if growing a number of pots I guess.

Reference your comments on Green Manure, I can recommend Forage Rye to those who have heavy clay soil. I have sown this successfully and it has made a marked improvement in the texture. I have just cut it down, chopped it up and dug in on 4 raised beds. It is of course not too late to sow now and some prefer to leave in over winter. I get it in,…[Read more]

I have sown all the Spinach [half the packet] in a bed which I have just cleared of potatoes. i.e. to fill an empty space.
I have hand rotavated, not added any seed compost, so watch this space !!
