It was good listening to how your victory garden panned out over the summer. Like you, I too was a bit worried at the time and would see food shortages later on in the year, haply it never happened. As you know, I did dig up my lawn (which I’ve always hated) and made the best of what I could with limited supplies at the time. I was fortunate to be able to work from home during lockdown and this garden gave me something to get lost in during what could be long and worrying days.
I think we have really lost something with our modern gardens which are now done up like a summer extension to the house whereas years back the whole purpose of a garden was to grow veg to eat – only posh people had room for a bit of lawn, lol!
