Weekly harvest report. Week 8 of 2019.

Each week I like to share my weekly harvest report. Reporting what I've harvested or spent over the last week.

Weekly harvest report.

This week we have harvested the following

  • 18 chicken eggs which would have cost us £4.50 from a shop.
  • 750g of Jerusalem artichokes which would have cost us £3.00 from a shop.
  • A selection of herbs and salad leaves harvested as and when required. We allow £1 for this.

That being this week's total to £8.50. Chicken egg production is up now my oldest bird has started to lay again. Which is providing us with plenty of eggs.

This also bring the total for the year to £53.08.

This week's spending.

  • This week I haven't spent any money what so ever on growing my own. Which is a result in my book but as I didn't need anything I didn't buy anything.
  • This keeps the total spend for the year at £105.42
  • What have you harvested this week? Let me know in the comments or Email me here.

    • Hi, I’ve a non veg related question about your podcasting, I have just started to do a podcast about local bands down here in the south west, I’m using soundcloud at the moment but wondered what your set up is, domain host, web platform all that sort of stuff really. I don’t want to spend to much at the beginning. Any help would be much appreciated. I’m loving your podcast, like you I have an allotment and it’s great to here how things are progressing.
      Thanks Craig.

    • Hi Craig.
My website is hosted through godaddy using WordPress as the platform. I then have a plug-in called blubrry powerpress which creates the podcast feed.
When I create a podcast I upload the audio create a blog post and drop the audio in.
Hope that helps if you want any more info I’m always happy to help.
