Weekly harvest report.

Sunday night means a look at the weekly harvest report. Let's see how much food I have harvested this week and how much it would have cost me from a shop.

Weekly harvest report.

This week I have not harvested as much as I could have as I am still making room in my freezer. This is more about harvesting what has to be harvested.

  • 10 chicken eggs which would have cost £2.50 from a shop.
  • 20 quail eggs which would have cost £4.20 from a shop.
  • 250g of Brussel sprouts which would have cost £1.20 from a shop.
  • A sprinkling of microgreens and herbs. We will allow 50p for these.

This week's total.

That brings this week total to £8.40. I am very happy with that although the highest value item has been the quail eggs. Now all 3 quail hens are laying the egg production is improved and this shows with this report.

How about you what did you harvest this week and how much is it worth? Leave a comment below or email me to share your harvest report.

  • you get through more eggs than we do Richard! Those quail are really paying off!

  • Thanx Steve. The wife bakes me lots of cakes lol. The quail eggs are really taking off and have a much higher value especially considering the small space they require. They really are worthwhile.
