Episode 121. Dealing with a heat wave.

Join me this week on the veg grower podcast as I delve into my world of growing my own fruit and vegetables. This weeks subject is dealing with a heat wave.

First I discuss the latest happenings on the plot, over the last week including

  • experimenting with smoking on the allotment

  • harvesting early purple wight garlic and how they have performed

  • and my cherries and birds co existing.

I then go on to discuss how I am dealing with this heat wave that the UK is currently suffering. We brits love nothing more than complaining about the weather, we moan it's always cold and then when we get hot weather we complain it's too hot.

Currently the UK is reaching 32c in places and this makes gardening a challenge so on this podcast I discuss how I manage my plots and a few little tips on the way.

Most importantly when working on a plot in this heat is to take care of yourself, drink lots of water, put on sunscreen and don't over exert yourself.
