Weekly harvest report.

Each week I share a weekly harvest report. Detailing how much I have harvested and how much that would have cost from a shop.

Weekly harvest report.

This week I have harvested the following

  • 8 chicken eggs which would have cost us £2.00.
  • 8 quail eggs which would have cost us ££1.76.
  • 100g of salad leaves and herbs which would have cost us £1.00 from a shop.
  • 2.5kg of rhubarb which would have cost us £8.50 from a shop.

This week's total.

That brings this week's total value to £13.26. I am pretty happy with that value especially as we are at the end of the hungry gap.

We only had 8 quail eggs this week as I put 6 into the incubator to try and bread more quail. For that reason, I have not included them in the value this week. It also looks like grills is starting to lay again after her illness.

What have you harvested this week? Let me know in the comments or Email me here.

  • As you say Richard the hungry gap is definitely over now. We harvested £197 worth of veg and the first fruit. A nice mix of spinach, lettuces, courgette, strawberry, carrots, beets, calabrese, brassica leaves, spring onions, onions, potatoes, chard, broad beans, peas, broccoli and radish. : all the best – Steve

  • Wow £197 worth of food. I am always so impressed with how much food you produce each week. Thank you for sharing.
