Raspberry jam recipe

So as my autumn raspberries are coming in and as I have a lot of them, I use lots up making jam.
This is an extremely easy jam to make but is so tasty to eat on my toast during the winter.

Ingredients
500g of raspberries
500g granulated sugar
a dash of lemon juice

Method
Before you start sterilise your jars and lids however you prefer to do this (i like to run them all through a dishwasher then put the jars in an on oven on gas mark 2 and put the lids in a boiling saucepan of water and then drain them just before i need them).
Then put all the ingredients into a heavy based pan on the hob and give it all a good stir.
Then turn a medium heat on and start cooking till the mixture reaches 105c on a jam thermometer.
The jam is now ready to be placed into your chosen jars and a lid placed onto them (keep the rim clean while spooning your jam in). tighten the lid and leave to cool overnight.
The following morning your jam should have set and ready use. This recipe makes about a 1kg of jam so depending on the size of your jars depends on how many you need.
It really is that easy so give it a try.
